Addressing gaps and misconceptions in children’s understanding in maths.

Mind the Gap is the result of action research undertaken by the Devon Primary Maths team aiming to identify and resolve the issues which impede progression across Key Stage 2. The book provides diagnostic assessment materials with linked teaching activities to support children in Key Stage 2 with gaps in their knowledge and understanding of Numbers and the Number system. Teaching activities focus on whole numbers, negative numbers and decimal numbers, clearly identifying the misconceptions and pitfalls which can hamper children’s learning.
